Directions from N1 Cape Town
(after the tunnel)
BYPASSING Worcester
This route also bypasses the construction taking place on a huge housing settlement just outside Worcester.
Take the N1 (north) towards Worcester
- Pass Paarl on the N1 and drive through the Huguenot Tunnel (toll road)
- Drive past Shell Ultra City and through 2 sets of traffic lights (Worcester will be on your right)
- Continue on the N1 in De Doorns’ direction for about 5.8km.
- Just after the De Wet cellar on your right, take the off ramp on the left (De Wet / Nonna / Overhex).
- Go over the bridge and follow the road, taking the right hand fork about 4.2km further along the winding road.
- After 5km you will go over a railway line and reach a stop street where you will turn left onto the R60 to Robertson.
Beware of the speed traps in Robertson!
At the traffic circle turn right onto the R317 Bonnievale Rd.
Drive 4.4km passing Springfield & Cloverfield Wine Estates.
Turn right into Riverton – as marked on the river stone wall entrance.
Drive past the horse stables on your left and turn right at the intersection.
Park behind the braai area or under the Algerian Oak Trees in front of Barry House on Riverton. Should you have booked Wine Down Cottage drive passed Barry House and the first row of farm sheds and turn left before the second shed which is open. This road leads to the hidden away Wine Down Cottage.

Directions from Airport / N2
On exiting the airport turn left onto the N2 / Somerset West highway (ie. the 2nd flyover turnoff)
From the N2 take the R300 off ramp on your left. Continue with the R300 until the road forks and take the N1 / Paarl off ramp on your right.
Continue to the tunnel and pick up the directions that were displayed previously.
Directions from N2
(coming from George / Knysna)
Take the Stormsvlei turn-off to the right.
Follow the road to the Bonnievale Cellar on your right (a few kms after the Drew turn-off).
At the Bonnievale Cellar turn left and follow the road to a T-junction.
At the T-junction turn left onto the R317 heading towards Robertson.
Pass Van Loveren, Viljoensdrift and Bon Courage Wine Estates.
Turn left at the river stone wall that says Riverton.
Drive past the horse stables on your left and turn right at the intersection.

Directions from N2
(coming from Somerset West)
Turn left towards Grabouw at the Orchard Farm Stall.
Drive through Grabouw and turn left at the Villiersdorp turn-off.
Follow the road through Villiersdorp and beyond.
At the Aan De Doorns Wine Cellar turn right.
At the first stop street turn right onto the R60 to Robertson.
Just keep following the road as it curves right around Robertson.

Directions from N1 Cape Town
(after the tunnel) via Worcester
Turn right at the 1st set of Worcester traffic lights (after possibly passing a mobile camera and passing the Worcester Mall & Golden Valley Casino).
Go over the railway bridge.
At the 2nd set of traffic lights after the railway bridge turn left into Hoog (High) street.
At the very next set of traffic lights turn right onto the R60 Robertson Road. Wave to the camera at the traffic department.
Then follow above directions.
Google Maps will take you along this route, however, we recommend you take the scenic route bypassing Worcester.
